NASA says a kilometer-wide asteroid heading close to Earth is ‘potentially hazardous‘.
This news suspiciously comes to us as at the exact time when the CDC is heavily considering whether to require thicker masks that supposedly provide even better protection. The CDC director is quoted saying, “Any mask is better than no mask”
If these two events are related, this would mean that spectral analysis effectively was able to test whether or not the incoming asteroid was COVID-19 positive, and that the results of this test are in.
Before you conclude that this is absolute BS, a recent discovery by EmitBio found that precise light frequencies can keep the coronavirus at bay. Source: Forbes
So if light can be used to effectively treat COVID-19, then a spectral analysis should be able to detect whether COVID-19 is present on an incoming asteroid, right?
Well it turns out according to the National Institute of Health “…infrared (IR) spectroscopies can help in the diagnosis of infections..”, “These analytical techniques are vibrational spectroscopic techniques that look at the molecular vibrations of the chemical structure of molecules. The viral proteins or antibody proteins from the immune system response can be detected in the vibrational spectrum”
So what are microwaves? Microwaves are a form of nonionizing electromagnetic radiation. They cause molecules to vibrate and build up thermal energy. Source: Healthline
But wait, there’s more! COVID-19 symptoms can and absolutely have been detected from a safe distance using infrared light and microwaves.
The device uses similar technology to that of a RADAR gun, and shoots micro-Doppler microwaves that bounce off the subject to detect body motions associated with breathing and blood flow. The device can be operated using a laptop with a healthcare worker maintaining a safe distance of 6 feet or more. Source: PhysicsWorld.com
We’re going to be honest. We began writing this article as a joke. But damn it if following the science didn’t just make our completely fictional conspiratorial story seem not at all ridiculous. In fact if an Asteroid were infected with COVID-19, modern day science appears to be in possession and or nearly in possession of detecting whether such an asteroid, whose impact didn’t kill us, might instead spread a virus that does.
