7 GOP RINOS in the Rough With 1 Censured By Their State

UPDATE: 7 GOP RINOS in the Rough With 2 Censured By Their States
Revised: February 16, 2021

Per the Louisiana GOP(BATON ROUGE, LA)- The Republican Party of Louisiana is profoundly disappointed by Senator Bill Cassidy’s vote on the constitutionality of the impeachment trial now underway against former President, now private citizen, Donald J. Trump. We feel that an impeachment trial of a private citizen is not only an unconstitutional act, but also an attack on the very foundation of American democracy, which will have far reaching and unforeseen consequences for our republic.

We also remind all Americans that former President Trump is innocent of the politically motivated, bogus charges now pending against him in a kangaroo court presided over by an openly hostile political opponent. How far justice has fallen in the short time that Democrats have been in control of the federal government!

BREAKING REVISION: The North Carolina Republican Party Central Committee unanimously voted on Monday the 15th of February, 2021 to Censure Senator Richard Burr.

In a statement on the committees website they wrote, “Tonight, the North Carolina Republican Party Central Committee voted unanimously to censure Senator Richard Burr for his vote to convict former President Trump in the impeachment trial which he declared to be unconstitutional.

The NCGOP agrees with the strong majority of Republicans in both the U.S. House of Representatives and Senate that the Democrat-led attempt to impeach a former President lies outside the United States Constitution.

Now that the Senate has voted to acquit President Trump, we hope that Democrats will set aside their divisive partisan agenda and focus on the American priorities of tackling the COVID-19 pandemic, safely reopening schools and restarting the economy.

What does this mean for Senators Cassidy & Burr? Well according to Senate.gov, “a censure is leas severe than expulsion, a censure (sometimes referred to as condemnation or denouncement) does not remove a senator from office. It is a formal statement of disapproval, however, that can have a powerful psychological effect on a member and his/her relationships in the Senate. In 1834, the Senate censured President Andrew Jackson — the first and only time the Senate censured a president. Since 1789 the Senate has censured nine of its members.”

Who are the 5 other GOP RINOS?

  • Susan Collins (RINO-ME)
  • Lisa Murkowski (RINO-AK)
  • Mitt Romney (RINO-UT)
  • Ben Sass (RINO-NE)
  • Pat Toomey (RINO-PA)
